Hi, I’m Rebecca Goodwin.

As an active, all-inclusive doula, I believe that each birthing couple is unique. I respect the diverse needs of birth by supporting unconditionally—whether it be natural labor, induction, cesarean, surrogacy, high risk, home birth, or VBAC.

By combining my massage skills, Spinning Babies® training, and years of experience attending births, I will guide you toward a calm, grounded, and informed atmosphere where your birth can unfold naturally. You can birth how and where you choose, safely. Birth is a balance in discovering the layers and power within, which, in turn, helps create a strong foundation for family and parenthood.

After the journey of pregnancy and labor support, I continue my doula support by helping you navigate the beginning of the 4th trimester, addressing your body's changes, joys, and challenges.

I provide gentle guidance toward your lactation goals, instruction in infant massage techniques, belly binding/care, and support as you step into your new role(s). We will also work on self-care and goals that are personal to your growth as a new parent.

I have attended births at most Maine hospitals, in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and at home births.

I continue to see clients at my Yarmouth office, where I specialize in prenatal and postpartum massage and Spinning Babies techniques.

In 2020, I became a Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioner, further educating myself in the practice of physiology before force. This approach allows the baby to move into an optimal position for a quicker delivery. As always, I provide massage as an adjunctive form of health care for the whole family.

I reside in North Yarmouth with my husband and two children. Family, nutrition, running, swimming, and yoga keep me grounded and energized to be part of your birth journey.
